"Welcome home." — imminium, April 8th 2021
Overview[]
Stone-Haven County Asylum's second version, titled "Revision Two," was the third major update to the game developed by imminium and KozKuma. Version two was intended to take a completely new approach which included a brand new map with the addition of a surface facility.
History[]
Around January 2021, KozKuma was appointed as a developer for Stone-Haven County Asylum and worked on version one for a little bit, before bringing up the idea of version two. Imminium eventually approves the idea and starts mapping out the development for the next major update while KozKuma pulled in reference images that of a recreational center.
Development began sometime in March 2021 and the two developers worked diligently, with KozKuma managing most of the map design while imminium handled the coding part entirely. Imminium eventually moved over to designing the map for the underground facility.
The release date for version two was announced; which was on April 5th, 2021. Due to complications of development, the two developers were forced to work at a faster pace to get everything done. The release date was then pushed back to April 8th, 2021 due to a slight compromise.
Version two was then released, with a one-time red carpet event built by KozKuma, with a formal introduction hosted.
Reception[]
The release of version two was highly acclaimed, despite its messiness and features not being fully tested on day one.
However, over the course of version two's lifetime, the Head Developer, imminium, had some negative reflection on the actions choices they made and the circumstances that they had to glide under, including the unexpected announcement of version two's release date. The ability to test features out on the development branch was also impossible when the release date was announced, considering the timeframe between March and April 2021.
